I’m Becky, and I like editing. It’s true. I love the rules of grammar combined with the wild, unrestrained freedom of storytelling. It’s structured anarchy, organized madness. . .a perfect balance of right brain and left brain. It’s knowing the rules and, more importantly, when to break them. I love it.

Is your hook working for you? Do you need to cut a scene? Is your dialogue stilted or unrealistic? Yeah, I’m going to let you know. Anything less than the truth is a disservice to you the author and to your readers. And it’s 100% my job to ensure that readers are presented with the best book you can provide.

What more do you need to know about me? I love learning new things and have an extensive collection of useless facts stored in my brain. My family generally tunes me out the second they hear me say, “Did you know. . .” I collect weird things, I’m terrified of hummingbirds, and I’ll read anything I can get my hands on (books, cereal boxes, instruction manuals for obsolete electronics).

I’m so glad that you’re on this journey. I thank you for putting your thoughts and daydreams to paper. . .erm, word processor and for being willing to share them with the world. Authors bridge reality with the impossible, if only in our minds and hearts. What you do is incredible, and I’m just happy to be a part of getting those stories out to the world.
